When the Imam comes out, they close their books and listen to the Khutbah.” — Sahih al-Bukhari (881), Sahih Muslim (850) 📖 Listening to the Khutbah The Prophet ﷺ said: “If you say to your companion, ‘Be quiet,’ while the Imam is delivering the Khutbah, you have engaged in idle talk.” — Sahih al-Bukhari (934), Sahih Muslim (851)
